Rhythm figure practice

Rhythm figures are short patterns that can be assembled in various orders to build the rhythms of music. These are common patterns found within real music.

To use these exercises, do not try to count them. Simply click 'learn' on each one, listen to it and clap over it. Your subconscious mind will associate the pattern that you're hearing, with the visual for the notation, and after a few days, simply looking at the notation will cause the rhythm to play back in your head.

Many of these figures are presented without a time signature because they can be found in many different time signatures.
