The Pure Ocarinas Community

Welcome to the Pure Ocarinas Community! We are a welcoming group of ocarina enthusiasts, who share a passion for the ocarina as a serious performance instrument.

Our goal is to be a vibrant online ocarina community, where you can build meaningful friendships with fellow players and dive into engaging discussions. We welcome musicians of all levels—from beginners eager to master the basics to advanced players.

Our community lives in two spaces:

A discord server for lively, real-time chat.

A traditional forum for long-lasting conversations.

We are always excited to help you grow. Feel free to share your playing on either platform, for some friendly feedback and support!

Community Goals

Be a space to discuss ocarinas as musical instruments

Discuss things like the pros and cons of different kinds of ocarina, how different ocarinas sound, the effects of steep vs shallow breath curves, the best tuned fingerings for an ocarina, and alternative fingerings which make playing easer.

Allow you to discuss and discover new ocarina music

Discuss ocarina music, including classical ocarina repertoire, and traditional music.
