Tunes for C 10-hole ocarinas

Music Genre: Scottish Reel
Composer: Ian Lowthian
Suits ocarina type: C 10-hole

Ian is an accordionist which explains the strange choice of key and range. There aren't a lot of Scottish tunes like this.

It is the second tune in the following set:

Ian's tunes are often named around this theme - The Stomach Steinway Man, The Toilet Seat, and after his bowel cancer operation, Oma the Stoma.

Time for an Argentinian tune. One of my favourites.

Music Genre: Arabic bellydance
Composer: Mohammed Abdel Wahab
Suits ocarina type: C 10-hole

I found myself in a group today playing this (not on an ocarina) and noticed it would fit a C 10-hole. It's THE classic belly dance tune, if you know a dancer they'll have used it. But it needs a percussionist (who knows the idiom) as well.

I think this is it in the original film it was written for, played by Abdel Wahab and his own band:

Most of the tune is in D nahawand (harmonic minor), the major-ish break is in rast (microtonally adjusted mixolydian) but thinking of it as major is fine. The rhythm is a normal 2/4 but with a lot of surprises.

Much more info about bellydance (including this song) on http://www.shira.net. Abdel Wahab specifically, http://www.shira.net/music/lists/lists-mohamedabdelwahab.htm

Music Genre: Arabic folk
Composer: Salah al-Mahdi
Suits ocarina type: 10-hole in C

Nominally for soprano recorder, but only the first piece uses a wider range than a C 10-hole ocarina (and the ocarina will work better).
