Thread introduction

An arrangement is a performance of music that was originally composed for another instrument, or the human voice. There is a long history of arranging music for ocarina, spanning the instrument's history from the 19th century, to today.

Arrangements can include song melodies played on solo ocarina with little to no change. They also encompass music arranged for ocarina ensembles, or a mixture of ocarina and other instruments.

This thread is a place to collect this music, from commonly played things, to lesser known.

The Swallowtail Jig is an Irish jig known by many ocarina players as of writing. The score given here has been transposed to fit an AC ocarina, the pitch that many ocarina players perform it at.

In Irish music sessions this is more commonly played in E Dorian, a whole tone higher. It works well on a D single chamber in the original key.
